Nature of request
Chaundos states that the late king was bound to him in a sum of money for cheese bought for the king's use and for their carriage to York and Westminster in the 5th to 8th years of his reign. He requests that the king order the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer to allow the sum to him in the debts that he owes to the king at his Exchequer.
Nature of endorsement
Let it be ordered to the treasurer, barons and chamberlains of the Exchequer that they view the bill mentioned by the petition. If they find that the debt is still due then they are to make payment, allowance, assignment. They are to do this as quickly as possible, receiving and charging.
