Addressees
King and council
Nature of request
The petitioners complain that people of Cambridge came to a house where Cambridge scholars had been invited and wounded them from which wounds Grysele died. The bailiffs have done nothing so that they request that the king by his grace order that an inquisition be made and that amends of this common trespass be made and that the clerks of his university and be able to reside in safety and in peace.
Nature of endorsement
It is answered elsewhere, namely by an assize of the justices.
