Nature of request
Cawewardyn states that Erysley and his followers broke his park of Mavesyn Ridware wishing to kill him and his fellowship. He requests that the king summon Erysley by his writ to appear before him on pain of 600 marks to find sufficient surety to keep the peace to Caewardyn or else he will be unable to sue at the common law for the wrongs.

This petition has been tentatively dated to 1442 because there are references to Cawewardyn in the patent rolls in 1441 and 1445 (CPR 1436-41, p. 565 and CPR 1441-46, p. 347) and because the 19 October was a Friday in 1442 (as mentioned in the petition).
