Let this bill be ordered to the justices assigned for the taking of the assize in the counties of Devon and Cornwall between William Carmenowe and John Sergeux and others, and let the truth of this be enquired of before them.

Note
The petition dates to 1377-8. Sergeux was sheriff from 1 October 1375 to 26 October 1376. Sergeux probably also held the office in 1388-9, but the draft writ in which this petition was enclosed (dated 10 December 1377) confirms the earlier date.
