Nature of request
The petitioners show that their father held land in Heveningham in chief from Swillington and Parker. Adam de Toftes, the bailiff of Blything hundred seized the land into the king's hand in the 23rd year of his reign for a half suit which he claimed was owed to the hundred. The lands never made such a suit, but the lands are still in the king's hand to their damage and disinheritance, so that they request that they can have and hold the land.
