- Burdet shows that the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer were ordered to allow him a certain sum in the farm of the county of Leicestershire for the hundred of Framland, which was given by the king's father to Belers. The treasurer and barons will not allow this sum, and charge him for the entire sum during his time as sheriff. He requests remedy.

- The petition must date to 1329 or very shorly afterwards for Burdet was sheriff from 12 December 1328 to 6 October 1329 [List of Sheriffs, p.145). It is unlikely that he would have waited long if the Exchequer were pursuing him for the sum.
