Nature of request
They state that they are entirely ruined by the Scottish war and cannot recover their estate without the king's aid. They request that the king pardon them the sum that they owe to him for victuals that they bought from Edward II which is to be paid in instalments in the Exchequer.

It seems to the council if it pleases the king to pardon them the sum because of the great losses and destructions they have suffered in the Scottish war.It pleases the king.
