Date
[c. 1329]
Description
Petitioners
Hugh de Bromshulf, executor of the testament of James de Dalileye.
Name(s)
de Bromshulf, Hugh
Addressees
King and council.
Nature of request
Bromshulf as executor of Dalileye shows that Edward II is bound to Dalileye in a certain sum as appears by a bill of the Wardrobe. He requests that the king and council will ordain their will so that he can be paid or a suitable assignement be made.
Nature of endorsement
Let it be ordered to the Exchequer that they view the bill and do justice.
People mentioned
James de Dalileye.
Note
The petition is evidently contemporary or almost contemporary with SC 8/36/1785, and would seem to date to c. 1329. In November of that year, Bromshulf, acting as executor appointed William de Wode as his attorney (CCR 1327-30, p.581). The summary of another petition for a slightly different sum owed to Dalileye can be dated to 1330 (E 175/2/16 m.4d.).
