Nature of request
Bristmereston states that her husband was lately seised in his demesne as of fee of the manor of Haxton, which manor came into the seisin of Beche by the feoffment of George Brigmerston. The manor is now in the king's hand by Beche's forfeiture, and she requests that she be able to have her dower in the manor as she has not trespassed against the king.
Nature of endorsement
It should be inquired. It is assigned to faithful men in Chancery to enquire if Steven de Brigmerston was seised of the manor of Haxton as Bristmereston alleges, and also if she afterwards has done anything by which ought not to have dower. The inquisition is to be returned into Chancery, and let justice to her be done.
