1) Breton requests writs be sent to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer ordering that the sums that he expended on garrisoning Lincoln castle which he paid out of the monies of his bailiwick be allowed on his account as they have refused to accept them without and order from the king and have adjudged him to the Fleet prison. He was ordered to take the castle into the king's hand and keep it safely.2) He also requests allowance for his costs in the taking of the castle and in garrisoning it.
Nature of endorsement
Concerning this petition let writs be sent to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer that when they have viewed the king's order which the petitioner had, they are to make allowance of all expenses which they can establish by inquisition that he expended by virtue of this command.
