- The prior and monks state that the bridges over the river Bramber pertaining to the prior and monks is ruined by great inundations of the sea as by their great age which bear a royal road. They request that the king grant them pedage and tronage to repair the bridges as the destruction of the bridges would shortly be block the road so that no-one would be able to pass to the great damage of the commons of the country.

- The petition has no apparent supporting evidence, but the guard comments refer to a patent roll reference from June 1396 which is used to date this petition perhaps to 1396 (CPR 1391-6, p.721). However the reference though referring to this alien priory does not have anything to do with this petition, so might not be very accurate.
