Boyvill shows that whereas £300 is currently demanded from him in the pipe of the debt of William de Boyvill, and the land that William Boynvill held is not worth £3 11s. 7d. as is found by diverse inquisitions taken and returned into the Exchequer, and £200 are paid of the debt. Boyvill requests that the debt be fixed at . . . per annum so that he is able to have a little for his sustenance from the remainder of the land.
Nature of endorsement
Let letters of attermination be made for him of the £100 which are in arrears by the payment of ten marks per annum, as long as £100 is paid.

The petition can be securely dated to 1335 as the grant made to Boyvill in response to the petition issued 12 March 1336 refers to his petition being presented at the parliament last summoned to York which was that which met on 26 May 1335.
