- Boutetourte requests remedy and that he is able to have a writ to the justices that they can sit at Thetford which is near where the trespass was committed. He sued a writ of oyer and terminer in Norfolk against Bukskyn and others. Bukskyn has purchased a writ in Chancery that the assize should be held at Norwich where he has allies and has prevented the petitioner and justices from approaching the town.

- The petition has to postdate the grant of the commission of oyer and terminer mentioned in the petition which was issued on 6 April 1323, so a date of c. 1323 would seem to the time for the alleged thwarting of the commission to have occurred (CPR 1321-4, pp.312-3).
