Nature of request
Bourgham requests a remedy as he has not been able to recover his lands and tenements following his outlawry, and is not able to pursue this at the law as he is totally ruined and he fears further hardships. He was indicted of a trespass before Burghersshe and his companions in Kent, by which he was outlawed and imprisoned in the Marshalsea, though eventually granted a charter of peace by the king he was not able to recover his lands which were entered by Say from whom he held the land.

The petition can be firmly dated to 1335 for and order to release Bourgham if he could find sufficient mainpernors was issued on 14 June 1335 (CCR 1333-7, p.503).
