1) Botreaux states that Ralph Botreaux, Langkelly and others from Easter last have continually, at various places, plotted and laboured by sorcery, arts, magic, necromancy and other diverse manners of subtlety to watch, enfeeble and ruin and otherwise destroy the body of Botreaux, and in aid of this procured Allbolde and other malefactors knowledgeable in the arts according to the information of Allbolde, Bowet, Byrches, and Haylbard. Botreaux requests that they examine Ralph Botreaux, Langkelly and others as they think fitting at their discretion, and of all the circumstances of this and ordain a remedy so that he can live without the destruction of his body by magic, and that those found to be involved be duly punished so that all other such malefactors will eschew such magic.2) Draft of a commission to Cheyne, Juyn, Luttrell and others to hold an inquisition in the county of Somerset concerning William, Lord Botreaux's complaint.
