Name(s)
Bochard, Walter
Addressees
King and council
Nature of request
Bochard states that Peter and Joan Baldenham purchased a rent in Bulkington and held it peaceably for the life of Peter, and afterward Joan married Wyk who alienated the rent to the earl. Joan has died and the rent should have descended to Bochard as kinsman and heir of Joan, and it has now escheated to the king because of the death of the earl. Bochard requests remedy in this case since the alienation should not have force.
Nature of endorsement
Let the muniments of the earl of Arundel be searched to see if anything can be found for the king to bar Bochard's claim, and the king is to be advised if they find anything.
