- 1) Bollelonde and Haveringe complain that they were assaulted, wounded, robbed and left for dead on the king's highway from Romford to their house at Havering by Creting and others because they had sued a plea for their mother against Creting as attorneys.2) Havering complains that Creting assaulted him on the highway as he came from Chancery, and beat him to see if he carried writs against Creting and would have killed Creting if he had found any.3) Havering came into the king's court to purchase a writ against Creting for a trespass that he had done against the peace, but Creting disturbed his purchase by procuring that the marshal imprison him, and he is still imprisoned.

Note (Additional information about the record)
- The petition appears to date from c. 1279. The petition refers to the first assault occurring after the feast of St Luke in 6 Edward I which place it in late October 1278, so that c. 1279 or thereafter seems a reasonable approximation of the date. Inn addition Creting's lands in Havering were assessed in April 1277 so that Creting was definitely flourishing then (CIM 1219-1307, no.1057).
