Nature of request
Blok requests payment be made to him for a boat called the Cristofre which was taken for the king's father and was valued at £248 so that the debt can be duly settled.1)
Nature of endorsement
Because John Sturmy witnessed before the council that the petition is truthful, it seems to the council that it is good that the chancellor and the treasurer to treat with the executor and satisfy him by an agreement or in another manner in discharge of the alms of the king.2) Because this petition was entrusted to the bishop of Norwich when he was treasurer, and he did nothing, it is ordered to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer that they treat with the executor in the form aforesaid.3) This petition with the endorsements was put in parliament held at York in 7 Edward III by the bishop of Norwich.
