Blank Moustier requests that he have the restoration of the damages and losses that he suffered when troops from West Wales under the command of Hackelute were stranded by the Isles on their way to Brittany through lack of wind. They took all manner of goods and food and have totally ruined the Isles so that he cannot collect his rent.
Nature of endorsement
Let a commission be made to certain men to enquire of the truth of the things contained in the petition, and this inquisition to be returned into Chancery, and the inquisition and indenture made between Edmund Hakelute and the keeper of the Isle be viewed there, and if they find it to be so, then let it be ordered to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer to make payment to him or a suitable assignment.
