- Bilkemore shows that he has been ousted from the bailiwick of the forestry of the West Bailey of the forest of Savernake by Symeon in the 16th year of the king's reign, and he is distrained in his manor of Wick for the arrears of the rent though he has had no profit from the bailiwick. He requests that the king send letters testimonial to the chancellor that he have the bailiwick, and restitution be made to him, and that he have writ of Chancery discharging him of the arrears of the rent until the bailiwick be restored.
- Nature of endorsement
- If the rent of which the petition makes mention is only for the bailiwick, he is to be discharged of the arrearages from the time that the bailiwick was taken by the manner. And upon this let a writ ordering the ministers of the queen that they hold him discharged if they can show no other cause.
