Nature of request
Avice and Alice show that Despenser ejected them wrongly from their manor by his lordship. They purchased a writ of novel disseisin at which day Despenser imprisoned the elder sister and their writ failed. Following Despenser's forfeiture the manor came into the late king's hand. The petitioners request remedy.
Nature of endorsement
Let the muniments of Despenser be searched to find any reason by which the plaintiffs ought to be barred of their demand and the king will do what he wishes to be done.
