Nature of request
1) Breouse requests that the chancellor be ordered to make new writs of oyer and terminer concerning the trespasses and damages done to him by Kynebelle the coroner and by the conspiracy of the burgesses of Buckingham, and for the killing of John de Dirfeld, an esquire of Breouse. He further requests that the fine of 20s. enrolled in Chancery for the writ be withdrawn.2) Breouse requests that another escheator be chosen for Buckinghamshire. He has shown that Kynebelle has been accused of the death of Dirfeld, but has procured to have himself restored to the office.1)
Nature of endorsement
Let the fine be viewed in Chancery, and if it was made for this reason let new writs be made to Damory and Stonor.2) List of names of the trespassers.

Note
The petition is dated to 1328 on the basis of the dating of this petition to the Northampton petition held in that year by Richard Kaeuper (Kaeuper, 'Law and Order', p. 746). Kynebell had been removed from office by 4 June 1323, when the sheriff was ordered to hold a new election (CCR 1318-23, p.659).
