The commons request that they can be discharged of the sum for thirteen churches which is assessed on the commons for the subsidy on parishes, and is more than they can find as is certified by the bishop and returned by the sheriff to Chancery.
Nature of endorsement
Let the certifications of the bishop and sheriff be viewed, and if the matter be truthful let justice be done.
