Nature of request
Burton states that Chamberlain died seised in demesne as of fee of certain lands and tenements in Wiltshire of the king of his duchy of Lancaster of the honour of Trowbridge. Agnes his daughter and heir was within age and Rolves came and seized her land's and tenements in Wiltshire and elsewhere and still holds them. He tried to hide Agnes in a nunnery in Wales but she refused to become a nun, so he sent her to Cornwall and sold her to the Bretons. She would have been lost had not Burton married her. He requests that they bring [Rolves] before them to answer for the injuries done to the king as well as of the wrongful occupation of the lands and tenements and the detention of the evidences and muniments.
