Nature of request
Beverle states that the abbot was lately taken to London by force of his enemies. The petitioner held a hostelry in the city. The king ordered to the mayor and sheriffs of London to enquire where the abbot received his goods, and the petitioner by hatred was indicted of receiving two horses of the abbot and he was put in exigent. The petitioner requests that the king grant a pardon of his outlawry.
Nature of endorsement
Let a charter of pardon of the outlawry on condition that he surrender to the prison and answer to the law, but that the charter is not delivered before the court has been informed that he has surrendered to the prison.
