- Bernard shows that he was ordered by the king to go with Nicholas Trimenel, then admiral of the sea of Scotland, and was captured and afterwards paid for his ransom £10 without any aid. He requests that the king grant to him the corrody which William Warin had until he died in the abbey of Malmesbury, since he cannot maintain himself because of the injuries he received in the king's service.
