- Thomas de Berkele states that the king was bound to Maurice de Berkeley, whose heir and executor Thomas is, for the keeping of Berwick which Maurice undertook, now diverse debts are demanded from him by the Exchequer. He requests that the king order to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer that they make a search of the debts, and an allowance of them.
