Nature of request
Robert de la Beche states that although he was always ready to obey the king's will and command, and at his peace, and never with the contrariants, John de Broghton, formerly Sheriff of Berkshire, by writ of the privy seal has seized into the king's hands all his lands, tenements, goods and chattels in that county. He requests the king's grace and pleasure.

He is to have a writ in Chancery, to give information about the means and cause of the capture.
