Nature of endorsement
Coram rege. This petition is to be delivered to Richard de Bury, to show to the king, and he is to say what his will is on this.
Places mentioned
Salopesbury (Shrewsbury), [Shropshire].
People mentioned
Richard de Toucestre (Towcester)

Richard de Bury.
Note
Dated on the guard to 'c. 1327 seq.' on the basis of CCR 1313-8 p.437, dated at York, 12 November 1316, which is the grant by the king's father. From the references to service to the king's father and grandfather, it must be from the reign of Edward III, and the references to Richard de Bury (Keeper of the Wardrobe August 1328-September 1329; Keeper of the Privy Seal September 1329 - March 1334; Chancellor September 1334 - June 1335) suggests that it is probably from early in the reign.
