Benedicta, widow of Thomas Barry of Beckhampton, states that her husband held certain tenements in Beckhampton on the day he married her and long afterwards; but that his eldest son, John Barry, afterwards had seisin of them for default of payment of a debt owed him by his father under the statute merchant, and then enfeoffed Henry Tyeis, Margaret his wife, and Henry, son of Warren del Ille, who is under age, with them. They have been seised into the king's hand because of the death of Henry Tyeis; and Thomas Barry has now died. She asks that she might be granted dower from these lands.
