Nature of request
Richard le Barber, who has served the king's father loyally, requests letters to the Treasurer and Chamberlains of the Exchequer to pay a debt of £5 which he is owed, and for which he has a bill of the wardrobe.
Nature of endorsement
The Treasurer, Barons and Chamberlains of the Exchequer are to be ordered that, when they have seen the bill mentioned by the petition, if they find that the debt is still wholly due, then they are to make payment, allowance or assignment as soon as they conveniently can, receiving etc. and charging etc.
Note
Dated on the guard to '? 1327 seq.' This is clearly from the beginning of a reign, and from the hand and French endorsement, most probably that of Edward III.
