- Dated on the guard to 'c. 1307 seq.', because of the reference to payments due in the twenty-third year of the late king's reign. A John de Hustewayt can be found in Edward II's service, mostly in Gascony, in the early years of his reign, as can be seen by references in the Patent and Close Rolls.
