Nature of request
The response of Edward Broke, Lord Cobham, to the bill against him presented by Cecily, widow of John Balle, concerning an obligation given for a debt owed to John Balle by Lord Cobham. Lord Cobham contends that Cecily's claim this obligation was not lawful is false, and requests that her suit against him might be dismissed out of court and that he might have damages against her.
