- Pierre Arnaud of Saut, clerk and member of the household of the Lord of Le Bret, states that for the good service that he, his father, and others of his family did the king and his predecessors in Guyenne and Scotland they have suffered great hardships, so that Peter cannot now continue his studies in law, and his family cannot aid him as they used to. He requests an annual fee of £20 sterling for term of life, to be received from the customs of Bordeaux or elsewhere in the Duchy.
