The king is requested to call before him, in the presence of Lord de Percy, Keeper of the March, Lawrence de Acton, one of the burgesses returned for Newcastle upon Tyne in this parliament, and to ask him for a declaration on the estate of the town: being assured by the anonymous petitioner that this will be to the salvation of the town, the reduction of costs to the king and the aid of the whole realm.
