Nature of request
Elizabeth, widow of Nicholas Daudeleye, who is seised of the lordship of Cemais in Wales, states that officers of the lordship of Pembroke have recently contravened a settlement between William Martyn, Lord of Cemais and William de Valence, Lord of Pembroke, in 19 Edward I, and upheld by a council decision in the second year of the reign of the present king, and that the king has sent a writ to John Golafre, keeper of the lordship of Pembroke, instructing him to observe it: but he and his ministers claim that it allows them various jurisdictions in the lordship of Cemais which she believes it does not. She asks the king and council to have the settlement brought before them, and there to make a final declaration on the disputed jurisdictions.

CCR 1389-92 p.396 is dated at Westminster, 19 October 1391, and CCR 1389-92 pp.394-5 is dated at Westminster, 3 November 1391. CPR 1391-6 p.272, mentioning the petitioner's death, is dated at Westminster, 28 April 1393.This petition must date from between these two dates.The agreement in CCR 1288-96 p.188 is dated 5 November 18 Edward I (1290) and was enrolled on the Wednesday before St Hilary, 19 Edward I (1291) - the petition says on the Monday before St Hilary, in the nineteenth year.
