Edmund, Earl of Arundel, makes three requests:1) He asks for justices, specifically William Inge and John de Nevill, to be assigned to inquire into various wastes, purprestures and alienations of fees and franchises, which occurred when his lands were in the king's hand during his minority;2) He asks for a commission of oyer et terminer to the same justices, concerning various trespasses committed in his lands, parks, free chases and warrens during the same period;3) He asks the king to vouchsafe him the amends, punishments, and whatever belongs to him from those who will be convicted of these trespasses.

CCR 1302-7 p.375 and p.377 are both dated at Wolvesey, 15 April 1306 - giving an earliest possible date for the petition.CPR 1301-7 p.545 is dated at Carlisle, 12 March 1307 and CPR 1301-7 pp.545-546 is dated at Carlisle, 16 March 1307. They are clearly in response to this petition.CCR 1307-13 p.4, which may be related, is dated at Westminster, 28 October 1307.
