The abbess and convent of Elstow request that the king cease demanding from them a pension for one of his clerks, by reason of the new creation of the abbess, as this has never previously been the custom, except for when the last prioress gave one at the king's request to the Countess of Hereford's lady-in-waiting.

She is to go before the justices before whom the plea is pending, and state her reasons there: and justice is to be done to her.
