Benedict Alard of Winchelsea complains that his ship and the goods in it were seized at Brest by Guyon de Tressilly chastelain of Le Conquet, and he and his mariners imprisoned for ten days, when it was found by inquest that they were not guilty of anything. He has had letters from the king, under his great seal, to the Duke of Brittany, to release his ship and goods, and pay his damages, but the Duke has refused to do anything. He requests letters to the Seneschal of Gascony, to seize ships the king's aid in the recovery of his goods.

He is to sue in Chancery and he will have a remedy.
