Benedict Alard of Winchelsea complains that his ship and the goods in it were seized at Brest by Guyon de Tressilly and other people of the Duke of Brittany, and he and his mariners imprisoned for ten days, although they were not guilty of anything, as the chastelain and Duke have acknowledged. He has had letters from the king, under his great seal, to the Duke of Brittany, to release his goods, but the Duke has refused to do anything. He requests letters to the Seneschal of Gascony, to seize ships and goods belonging to the Duchy of Brittany, until his losses and damages are made good.
