John de Acton states that a suit between him and Roger Helawe and the son and heir of Ralph Pyn, concerning tenements in Lyn and Woolhanger, has been halted because Roger claims that he cannot allow John to aver that they were held of him without the king being consulted. John requests a remedy.
Nature of endorsement
The justices are to be ordered to proceed to enquire into the truth of the matter etc., but that they are not to proceed to judgment without consulting the king.
