Nature of request
The abbot of Abingdon states that Warren del Isle, who has now been forfeited, held the manor of Beedon of him, of the right of his church of Abingdon, paying 50 shillings annually for the guard of Windsor castle, but that since the manor has been in the king's hand this rent has been withheld. He asks that the rent and arrears be paid to him.
Nature of endorsement
The keeper is to be ordered that if he can establish that the manor is held of the Abbot for the services etc., and that he and his predecessors were seised of the rent etc. until the forfeiture etc., then he is to pay the Abbot the rent henceforth, and the arrears from the time etc.

Dated on the guard to c. 1323, with reference to Warren del Isle's forfeiture. The note also mentions references to this forfeiture found in CPR 1321-4 p.273 (dated 7 April 1323) and CFR 1319-27 pp.336, 358-359 and 426: none, however, is directly relevant.
