Nature of request
The abbess and convent of Syon ask the king, by authority of parliament, to grant them his letters patent under his great seal, confirming letters patent made to them in the first year of his reign, confirming their charters and making them several grants, and an act of parliament of the ninth year of Henry V, detaching the manor of Isleworth and its appurtenances from the Duchy of Cornwall and granting it to the convent of Syon.

This petition is transcribed on the roll of the parliament initially summoned at Westminster in April 1463 and prorogued several times, lasting until January 1465 (Rot. Parl. vol. V, pp.551b-555b).The earlier quitclaim of some of these lands by the Provost and scholars of the College of St Mary and St Nicholas (King's College), Cambridge (CCR 1461-8 p.132), is dated at the College, 26 February, 1 Edward IV (1462).
