Nature of request
1) Heron states that the king granted him the office of constable of Bamburgh castle with £40 from the revenues. He continues that the castle is ruinous and that he has maintain the castle and pay its guard, and has noting other than the £40. He requests provision be made for him in the act of resumption in the manner and form of the draft, and if no such provision is to be made then he requests that it be enacted in parliament that he is not to be impeached by the king or his successors if any harm befalls the castle.2) Clause for inclusion in the act of resumption, that the act is not prejudicial to the grants made to Heron.
