Nature of request
1) Popham states that he received from Henry V after the battle of Agincourt for his service an annuity of 100 marks for his life to be taken at the Exchequer, which was surrendered in return for a grant from Henry VI of 100 marks to be taken from Builth. He requests that the grant of the annuity be provided for in the act of resumption to be had in the present parliament in accordance with the draft clause.2) Clause for inclusion in the act of resumption, that the act is not prejudicial to Popham's grant.
Nature of endorsement
The king by the advice of the lords spiritual and temporal agrees that Popham should have 40 marks parcel of the 100 marks by virtue of the letters patent. If he does not agree to this, then the 100 marks is to be resumed, and Popham is to resort to his former grant according to the desire in the petition of resumption.
