Nature of request
The petitioner states that at Pentecost 13 Edward IV (1473), Henry Bodrugan and his servants forcibly entered his house at Trewonal and stole his goods and chattels. Furthermore, on 20 June 1473, they entered a ship of his at Trewonal and stole goods worth 40 marks. He says that he, like other people attacked by Bodrugan, is unable to sue at law for fear of violence, and therefore asks that Bodrugan be summoned to appear before the king to answer these charges. (A list of the goods alleged to have been stolen from Trefusis is given at the foot.)
