The petitioners ask the king to remember the numerous complaints of the people of Cornwall concerning the various crimes of Henry Bodrugan, against both foreign merchants and natives, for fear of which merchants no longer visited Cornwall, to the great loss of the county, and to the king's customs. Despite these complaints, Bodrugan continues his crimes, including the robbery of a Breton ship, the murder of one its crew and the imprisonment of the rest; attacks and robberies upon the houses and persons of the petitioners, in league with rebels, servants of the Earl of Oxford; forcing people to change their wills to his advantage; and raising illegal taxes. The petitioners ask the king to issue writs summoning Bodrugan to appear before him to answer these charges.
