Thomas Farnell of Newsholme in Yorkshire, otherwise called Thomas Forster, states that Katherine, widow of Richard Williamson, had sued a bill claiming that, on 1 October 1472 at Hemingbrough, Robert, Richard and John Farnell (alias Forster), the sons of Thomas, attacked and killed her husband, and stole weapons from him. Thomas had then harboured them at his house, for which he was committed to York Gaol, before being moved to Newgate prison to await trial before the King's Bench. Thomas asks that, due to his great age, he be granted bail upon reasonable surety.
