- The predecessors of the prior of the hospital of St John of Jerusalem were seised of 2 forges in Fleet Street in the suburbs of London, for which they paid the king 15s annually, but they were destroyed in the time of the insurrection of the commons in Richard II's reign, since when the priors have been respited in the Exchequer in respect of that rent. Since the forges cannot be rebuilt, the king is asked to grant the Chancellor and Treasurer power to make reasonable remedy for the discharge of the prior, and that in the meantime there may be no levy of arrears of rent.
