- The prior and convent ask for confirmation of the grant of the manor of Bordelby, made to the monastery at its foundation in 20 Richard II by Thomas, Duke of Surrey, who had died shortly afterwards. They ask for a writ under the great seal to be sent to the sheriff of Yorkshire, to proclaim that anyone claiming title to the manor of Bordelby should demonstrate it before the king and council before next feast of St Martin in winter.
